Fascia Replacement Services

Fascias are often overlooked as part of our roofs, but we’d miss them if they were gone. They’re vital parts of roofing, protecting our homes from bad weather. And, if fitted properly, they can look fantastic too.

What is a Fascia?

Fascias are the long, straight boards that run along the lower edge of roofs. They are fixed to the roof trusses and support the lowest row of tiles on a sloped roof. It allows for the overlap that creates the iconic look a tiled roof is known for and helps the tiles to funnel water into your guttering.

However, this is far from their primary purpose. No matter how well a roof is fitted, over time water and damp can get between the upper part of the walls and the roof. This can take decades but is inevitable. A fascia prevents this, creating a solid barrier that moisture cannot get through, even after the wettest British winters.

Fascias are often confused with soffits, but that is understandable as they go hand in hand. Soffits are tucked away underneath the fascia, helping with ventilation and improving the look of the fascia from ground level.

Fascia Colours

Fascias are often white, but this is far from the only option.

Your fascia can be a range of colours, whatever you think will suit your home the best. These will stand out if they clash with the outside of your home, so knowing which colours would complement before you organise your fitting is essential.

Some people like white fascias as they outline the roof, breaking up the outside of your home. If your house is an investment, this is the kind of thing that will improve curb appeal when it’s time to sell.

Fascia Replacement Services

Over time, any fascias will look worn out. If they are white, years of dust and grime will build up, making them look filthy even from a distance. You can clean fascias with a jetwash or a bit of elbow grease, but if you want it to be done properly, it’s best to call in the professionals.

We are not only experts at fitting and replacing fascias but can also give them a proper clean as part of our fascia maintenance services.

If your fascias are damaged, we’re ready and waiting to repair or replace them. The longer you leave it, the worse the issue can become. Failing to maintain your fascias can cause damp, mould, or even damage the rest of your roof.
